Want to Know the Keys to a Happy Life?

About 10 years ago, my friend and coworker, Joanie, had cancer that metastasized throughout her body, which eventually took her life. Yet, during her last days, she was a picture of happiness and peace. Even though she was in a lot of physical pain, she seemed to float on a cloud of serenity. She even smiled through her pain because, as she reported to me one day, she was counting the blessings of her beautiful life. She wasn’t rich nor in a relationship, but what she did have was peace of mind.

Listen to John Gray, myself, and some more amazing experts, as we share the keys for a happy life. Make sure to share, share, share this video and subscribe to my Youtube Channel!

As we discussed in the video, happiness is a conscious choice. Moment-by-moment, you can decide to be happy. In fact, this may sound weird, but you already are the happiness that you seek. You may not be tuned-in to that fact, but your natural state is happiness.

Let me explain.

You were born completely tuned-in to joy, love, freedom, empowerment and happiness. You didn’t question it nor wonder how to get it. You just lived in your natural energy of joy, love, freedom, empowerment and happiness. Does a baby apologize for crying when she’s hungry or wet? No. She screams her little head off because she is being (and not apologizing for) who she really is – powerful. She’s not thinking, “I am power,” she’s just being powerfully her. Does a toddler say, “I think I’ll skip over this mud puddle so I don’t get my pants dirty.” No! He gleefully squishes the mud between his toes and fingers with total abandon. Children don’t question who they are or what they do… that is, not until they get old enough to mimic the adults around them – adults who say to themselves things like, “Happiness is out of my reach.” Or, “I’ll be happy when ___(fill in the blank)___.”

Thanks to Joanie and children, we have great role models for how to choose happiness.

Can you imagine what your life would be like if you emulated children and people like Joanie, who decide to be happy, and therefore, are happy – who choose peace of mind and therefore are at peace? It’s not about what you have or what you do that brings you happiness. It’s about tuning-in and activating that which you already are – your natural state of happiness.

The Experts Share The 4 Keys For A Happy Life:

  • Raise your level of conscious and positive energy by choosing the focus of your mind. If you change your mind, you change your life.
  • Stop judging your situation. When you judge that your happiness is in the hands of someone or something else, then you are not tuning-in to your own amazing power. Remind yourself daily of your natural state of happiness by repeating these phrases: I AM Joy, I AM Love, I AM Freedom, I AM Power, I AM Happiness
  • Have only quality relationships in your life, such as, friends that support and love you. You are on this journey of exploring who you really are, therefore, live in authenticity, with an open heart and don’t be afraid to be yourself fully.
  • Practice choosing/deciding to be happy – moment-by-moment. The more you practice the easier it becomes.

Great stuff, right? Here’s an overview of what you heard.

  • Loneliness is made up in your mind, a sense of separation and a judgment you have made about being alone. Tip: A spiritual practice helps you to receive the gifts that the Universe is constantly giving to you. It’s impossible to be lonely while receiving love from the Universe so begin your meditation/spiritual practice today.
  • Loneliness is a loss of physical connection with others, which your body needs to release happy brain chemicals. Getting out and being with others is good for relieving your loneliness. Tip: Volunteer your time to those in need.
  • Loneliness is a sense of non-fulfillment and a message that it’s time for change. It also means there’s a void in your life that needs filling. Tip: Try doing something that you love.
  • Loneliness is what the mind has created. There is a purpose for your loneliness, a secondary gain. Tip: It’s your job to look for that gain, even if it means giving something up.

Read how Madie’s inspiring story is a perfect example of what us experts are talking about:

Bye-Bye Loneliness, Hello Happiness:
Madie’s Inspiring Story

Madie was a truck driver. Yep, that’s right, she owned and operated her own big rig semi and carried the big loads. In other words, she was a “heavy hauler”. Hearing how she threw around those huge chains to tie down her cargo really impressed me. She was tough and strong yet pretty and feminine. Plus, she had a sense of humor that would make me spit out my tea, I’d be laughing so hard. Madie loved the business she created, but truck driving was very hard on her body and her romantic life. She eventually made the difficult decision to sell her beloved truck and say goodbye to highway living.

Initially, the transition was not an easy one. She signed up for online dating sites, but really disliked the “dishonest”, “alcoholic” and “idiot” (her words) men she was meeting. However, feeling starved for companionship, she considered having a one-night stand with one of her dates, but changed her mind, knowing that she wouldn’t feel good about herself the next morning.

After about 1 month of living ‘off the road’ and dating “jerks”, Madie was standing at her back door, staring out the window, when suddenly, she burst into tears. A bit confused from her unexpected onset of emotion, she eventually realized how separated she felt from the world, like a fish out of water. She was not enjoying her life and was regretting her home-based living situation as a single woman. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for her to pull herself together and say, “Now Madie, this is crazy! Why are you balling your eyes out? Its time to make some changes!” And she did.

Madie made a list of all the things she loved in this world. The top contenders were cooking, entertaining and group activities. On the truck, she had a longing for being in her kitchen, baking breads, barbequing ribs, tossing salads and crafting pies. Now that she was back home, she had the time and place to do it.

Madie began regularly asking friends and neighbors over for dinner. Nothing gave her more pleasure than seeing the delighted look on their faces as they chowed down on her culinary creations. She felt happy and alive again. This new outlook attracted quality men from the dating sites. A couple of them ‘cut the mustard’, and got lucky enough to sample Madie’s home cooked meals and her sense of humor. They weren’t ‘the One’, but Madie was having fun dating these very nice guys. She also joined a gym and a drumming meditation group, which she absolutely loved.

After several months of her new life as chef (just for her friends), entertainer, muscle builder and spiritual seeker, Madie got a “poke” from Darryl on eHarmony. It didn’t take long for their communication to advance to dating. Within several weeks, he got an invite to try her Lemon BBQ’d ribs, cornbread and coleslaw. He never turned back. They’ve been together now for 4 years, loving, laughing and building a life together.

You rocked it Madie!! Congratulations on kicking loneliness in the butt and getting on with your wonderful life.
